Audiosurf on Steam $1.49

[PC] Atom Zombie Smasher - $2.99 [10 HOURS LEFT]

After much research, I have decided that this is TOO good of a deal to pass up. Atom Zombie Smasher is a game in which you take command of a group of mercenaries in order to evacuate your city before the civilians become a tasty snack to the undead. Conduct massive rescue operations using snipers, artillery crews, orbital bombardments, and more. The environments are fully-destructible and randomly generated. When you need a break from fending off zombies, you can create your own game mods and share them with your friends. Here are some of the Key Features of the game taken from it's Steam store page:

Mercenaries for hire: Hire and upgrade your ragtag group of snipers, demolition teams, orbital bombardment crews, and more.
No two cities are the same: Cities are procedurally-generated, giving a unique experience with each playthrough.
Destructible environments: You can absolutely blow up everything.
Play with friends: Up to three people can cooperatively play together.
Mod support: Modify the game rules however you like, and share your mods through the Online File Share.

To be honest, I am really excited about this game. Hopefully I can get it before it goes off sale. Just to boot here are some screenshots and a comment from indiegames.com. Click the pictures to enlarge.

When I first started this blog, I mentioned a game called Revenge of the Titans by indie developer Puppy Games. I have played this game quite a bit since I first got it with the Humble Indie Bundle. It is a great tower defense games and the AI keeps you constantly on the edge of your... er.. mouse? Steam is releasing the game at 10% off for its release making it $13.49 in my opinion a great price for the game. I want to know from my followers, would you like me to start doing reviews of some of my favorite cheap games? Would you like to see more game screenshots? Let me know what you think!

[PC] Bit.Trip Runner $9.99 - Cheap Game Pick of the Day

BIT.TRIP RUNNER is a fast paced music/rythym-platformer available on Steam. I have BIT.TRIP BEAT for Wii and PC and it was very addicting. This promises to be a good game for the indie/platformer/music fan. The first game had really cool music, sounds like this one does as well.[LINK]

[PC] Magicka Wizard Survival Kit .99 cents!

A DLC has been released for Magicka. The Wizard Survival Kit includes the following items:
Wizard's Hat (item) - No wizard of note would ever be seen outdoors without one of these pointy hats. Sharp Sword (item) - The instruction reads “stick them with the pointy end”. Good to have in a pinch.
Staff +1(item) - Whack your foes over the head, use it to prod mucky waters or lean on it to look cool - the staff +1 let’s you do all of it in style.
Meteor Shower (new Magick) - Rain burning rocks down on your enemies. ‘Nuff said.
In my opinion a .99 DLC is kind of odd, but I will most likely buy it none the less.

I have been playing Magicka more lately, so if any of you want to play with me just add me on Steam. My user name is wheelock.   http://steamcommunity.com/id/wheelock

[PC HARDWARE] GeForce 210 512MB DDR2 PCIe Video Card $9

So, this is my first post dealing with gaming hardware. I haven't seen a lot of good game deals today, and this video card deal was just too good to pass up. You have to use the $25 rebate (Links below) . $34 - $25 Rebate = $9 + free shipping. I know rebate deals aren't the best in the world (if you are impatient like me). But for a casual mid level gamer, this is a great card at an even better price.

Here is a link to the $25 Rebate. [Click]

I think I am going to order this one to replace the 32MB GeForce in my son's computer. Ya, you heard that right, that's the same card I used almost 10 years ago playing Counter-Strike 1.5! So, what kind of video card do you guys sport in your rig? I have an ATi Radeon HD 3200.

EA Flash Deal for 60% off Medal of Honor!

EA states on their FB Wall that if they get 700 likes on THIS  FB STATUS by 6:00pm PST they will offer the new Medal of Honor and even include **free shipping**! As of this post they are at 678 likes, so this deal will most likely happen. Great deal for anyone looking for a good military FPS. Again, Here is the link (http://www.facebook.com/eaflashdeals?v=wall)

So, how many of you have MOH? Did it live up to the hype, or was it just another generic first person shooter? I want to know what you all think so leave me a comment and make sure you follow me, I am going to try and keep updating at least 2 or 3 times daily.

**UPDATE: Within 15 minutes of me posting this, EA had 715 Likes!   "Enter promo code "GunClub217" at http://bit.ly/eGwIv5. Quantities are limited so act QUICKLY!" This deal is for US only.

New ciematic trailer for Alice: Madness Returns

I haven't seen any worthwhile deals all day. So,here is the new cinematic trailer for Alice: Madness Returns. So far it seems to have an out-there story line that is unpredictable, and keeping in line with the last Alice it promises to have creepy twists and turns throughout the way. The title will be available for PS3 and XBOX360. Still no confirmation as to whether there will be a PC version, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Here is the trailer:

I still want to wait to see a gameplay video of this, but if its anything like the last Alice, it will be a great title to pick up.. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
[Link to the official Alice website]
*edit: I had to fix the video, it was way too big. fixed the link also

Hey, I'm on Blogger!

Hello blogger community! My name is MikeD a.k.a HardUpGamer, this blog will contain the best deals for video games from around the web. I will also include the occasional rave or rant. I enjoy playing first person shooters, tower defense, racing, and casual games. The two games I am currently playing are Team Fortress 2 and a working title called Revenge of The Titans.

Team Fortress 2 is a great game for people who like fast pace, balanced game play, with heavy community involvement. Think of it as if Disney/Pixar created a first person shooter. TF2 will always be a part of my life, it is one of the biggest games on steam and I believe it will remain so for quite some time. (http://www.teamfortress.com/)

Revenge if The Titans is a tower defense game that I picked up with the Humble Indie Bundle and have been playing for the last few days. One of the things I like about it is the arcade style graphics. Upgrades are purchased between each level and the game throws more powerful "Titans" at you all the time. Very challenging and fast paced game play make for a fun, addicting game. While it is still in BETA, it is a must have for people who are fans of the genre and casual gamers alike. (http://www.puppygames.net/revenge-of-the-titans/)
